The pain is dissipating
Yesterday was the start of Week 7, and it’s becoming
more of an ingrained habit for me. I feel great. My body is trimming down
significantly. The pain in my neck, arms, thumbs, and back are lessening, so long as I stick to the eating plan.
I’ve been eating sourdough bread for a few days, and I think it may be what caused more purging this morning. I should have purchased the Italian sourdough instead of the organic sourdough from Sprouts Farmers Market. The difference is that Italian flour is purer, without as much wheat gluten as white flour made in the US. The sourdough fermentation also helps to eliminate most of the gluten that upsets the gut biome.
Yesterday, I also had more
than the daily allotment of 6 oz. of wine, preferably red. The first 6 oz. was a Côte du Rhone Reserve, a dry white wine we get at Trader Joe’s. The next glass was a Sauvignon Blanc, which I love, but it isn’t as dry as the Côte du Rhone, which means increased sugar.
Today I plan to follow the eating plan more closely. I had a green smoothie for breakfast and two small pieces of the sourdough bread which I sliced and froze. I won’t have any alcohol this evening, and will eat homemade pastured chicken and vegetable soup with ¼ of an avocado for lunch, and likely a piece of wild-caught cod for dinner with steamed broccoli or a salad.
I just completed my exercises – 25 minutes on the stationary bike, 15 minutes of Pilates and stretching, and 5 minutes of arm and shoulder Physical Therapy exercises. I noticed that the tendon pain in my arms is gone! Before I started the Plant Paradox program my arms hurt from the neck pain that travelled down through the soft underarm tissues of mostly my left arm all the way to my wrist. I could do some of the arm exercises but not the arm curls that focused on the underarm soft tissue from the armpits to the elbows. Today, I felt no pain at all and completed 20 reps with ease. The only thing I can attribute it to is the diet and the purging my body did this morning. I even have less pain in my neck. This! This is the primary reason I’m following the Plant Paradox program. To reduce or eliminate the pain with a wonderful side effect of weight loss.
Today is a good day!
